This time of year is all about celebrating and spending time with the people you care about. You might be excited about giving and getting presents, eating tasty food or having a break from school. There’s no fixed way to enjoy it. Each family does it their own way.
It can be a special time and here’s some ideas of things you can do with your family: have fun with your family or play games with your brother or sister.
It’s also okay if you don’t always find things fun or easy. We know that Christmas can be a bit hard sometimes. Changes in routine or busy days can be tricky especially if your brother or sister needs extra help or attention. Maybe you’ve had to change some plans so your brother or sister doesn’t get upset, or it sometimes feels like they get more attention than you do, even if you know why.
If any of that sounds normal for you, you’re not alone. There are other siblings in other homes feeling like you do. We’ve got lots of helpful information on our website Home – Sibs to support you along with helping with the tough stuff at home
Try and talk things through with your parents or grandparents. They are there to support you.
