Welcoming the winter ….

It’s November and with the clock change last month the days are getting shorter and the weather is becoming colder and wetter.  This means siblings will be spending more time indoors with their family.  It can be nice to stay warm and comfy inside, but it might also feel a bit tricky if you don’t get to see your friends as much and find yourself spending more time with your brothers or sisters.

You can have a look at our Info and advice page on our website which has ideas for games you can play with your family under Good sibling stuff.

It is ok if you want to spend some time on your own and here are some suggestions:

  • Make a comfy corner for yourself, or ask an adult to help you gather some cushions and blankets to make a nest with some books and music you can go to when you want to spend time alone.
  • Find some colouring or crafting you would like to do and maybe teach yourself a new skill.
  • Speak with your wider family, grandparents or cousins and see if you can go and visit them after school or at the weekend.
  • Check with school to see if they have any after school clubs that you could join to give you some extra time with friends or school mates.
