Donors and charitable trusts

Sibs is currently funded by the following charitable trusts and donors and we are immensely grateful for their support for siblings.

  • The True Colours Trust
  • Pears Foundation
  • Garfield Weston Foundation
  • Farrer-Brown Charitable Trust
  • BBC Children in Need
  • The D’Oyly Carte Charitable Trust
  • The Charity Governance Awards
  • Baily Thomas Charitable Fund
  • CharityJob Annual Giving Campaign
  • Marsh Charitable Trust

Sibs was a runner up in the Charity Governance Awards 2025, in the Improving Impact in Small Charities category. “The judges were deeply inspired by the scale of Sibs’ ambition and the strength of its community focus. Sibs stood out as the only national charity on the shortlist—and the only UK organisation dedicated solely to sibling issues. The board’s strategic leadership was both empathetic and effective, with many trustees bringing lived experience while still maintaining clear-eyed governance and long-term vision.” Sibs – The Charity Governance Awards

If you are a donor or grant making trust we would be delighted to put in a proposal to you for support work with either young or adult siblings of disabled people. If this is something your would like to consider contact Sibs.

‘Being the sibling of someone who is severely disabled can be very lonely, Sibs are that unique friend who understood.’ Adult sibling

Do you want to raise funds for Sibs?

If you like the work we do or it has helped you or your family personally, we would love you to consider doing a fundraising challenge to support Sibs’ work. Add your event to our fundraising page on Just Giving and let us know about it so that we can tell others about it through social media. Just as important as raising funds is the public awareness raising of sibling issues that you can do through your fundraising event.
