Sibs Talk Lite (Secondary age packs)

Sibs Talk Lite is a new set of FREE resources to support siblings who are growing up with a brother or sister who is disabled, has special educational needs (SEND) or a serious long-term health condition.

Siblings can have difficulties in life because of their sibling experiences. Sibs Talk Lite has been specifically designed in consultation with siblings and education staff, to help your group support siblings.

What is Sibs Talk Lite?

Schools have told us that they are struggling to meet the wellbeing and health needs of all pupils. Siblings of disabled children are an often overlooked group of students whose specific needs are rarely addressed. Our new free resources will help schools open-up conversations in PSHE lessons, small group work as well as whole school assemblies. Leader guidance notes are provided along with the new resources.

What does the pack include?

An information leaflet about our services that you can share with parents and siblings, empowering them to access our support when they need it. Keep copies available in your setting and display them on noticeboards too.
Key tips and advice for staff – 10 small but hugely impactful actions you can take that don’t require extra funding or lots of resources to carry out.
Sibs Talk Lite for secondary age, our new set of resources to help groups open-up conversations in PSHE lessons, small and whole group work. The resource includes Teen Talk worksheets, leader notes, a set of assembly slides and a short, animated film about sibling life.
