To celebrate our very special Birthday, we invite you to join Lyndsey and Michelle from the Sibs team on Wednesday 27th May from 11am – 2pm at Tilgate Park, Crawley, West Sussex. Bring a picnic and join in some fun craft activities. We have tickets for 25 families to enjoy free entry into Tilgate Zoo which is home to over 100 types of animals! We will be taking photographs at the event, permission forms will be available on arrival.

Check out our Q&A here and book your place below:

Where can we find you?

Sibs’ staff will be welcoming you at The Barn – which provides wet weather cover should we need it. There will be chairs and tables, craft activities and you can find out more about the work of Sibs. We will send you a map ahead of the event.

Can I bring my sibling child/ren and disabled child/ren?

Yes.  This is an inclusive event for the whole family.

Will there be food available?

We ask you to bring your own picnic food for your family, or you can purchase food from the Lakeside café or Walled Garden Café. This will be a nut and sesame free event, so please pack your picnic with care to help us keep everyone at the event safe.

We would like to take up the free tickets for the animal park, what do we do?

Please let us know in the booking form below how many tickets you require.  There is a maximum of 2 adult tickets and 4 children’s tickets per family.  We will be asking for more information about your family at the time of booking.  Please note that there is free entry for 1 adult carer if your child is in receipt of confirmation such as DLA/PIP or diagnosis, or a Compass Card, Hidden Disabilities Sunflower, Carers Support Card or similar recognised scheme.

We would rather not go to the zoo – is that ok?

Of course! We want you to enjoy the event in any way that supports your family.  You can take part in the activities offered by Sibs and then go off and enjoy the park with your family. There are beautiful walks, lakes and even a maze to explore!

What happens if the Sibs tickets for the animal park are fully booked?

We have limited funding for the event, so are only able to support 25 families to visit the zoo.  However, you are able to purchase your own tickets for the day, or just enjoy beautiful Tilgate Park which has free entry.

How do I get to Tilgate Park?

Tilgate Park is located on Tilgate Drive, Crawley, West Sussex RH10 5PQ.

Metrobus service 2 runs to the park on weekends and Bank Holidays. Monday to Friday it stops at K2 Crawley, a 15 to 20 minute walk from Tilgate Park.

There is a paid car park at the park, with a minimum charge of £4.00

Can you help us with travel costs?

Unfortunately we are unable to cover travel costs to the event.

Can you provide childcare?

We are a small team, so we are unable to provide childcare to your children – you will be expected to support your children fully with the visit.  Our team will be on hand if you have questions and will offer support with craft activities and questions about supporting young siblings.

We run a sibling group, can we bring siblings to the event?

Yes we would welcome sibling groups. But please email us at [email protected] so we can book your group places.

We look forward to welcoming you!
