April Spotlight Blog for Young Siblings
On the 10th of April, we celebrate National Siblings Day.
It’s a day to think about and celebrate the brothers and sisters of disabled children – just like you.
We would love you to get involved in National Siblings Day and let us know how you’re celebrating. You could ask a grown up to share a picture with us on social media, just tag it with #ItsaSiblingThing
Here’s a fun activity to celebrate you!
- Can you think of five things you are great at?
- They can be anything at all e.g. drawing, football, making people laugh, being kind.
- You could draw them, write them down, or just think about them quietly.
You can find a YoungSibs activity pack on our website: Celebrate National Siblings Day on 10th April 2026 – Sibs
You could also tell your school about the day!
If you’d like to find out more about support for siblings, we are here for you – YoungSibs – Sibs. Remember, you are important and your thoughts and feelings matter.
We hope you have a great day 😊
