Getting help with mental health problems

Anyone can be affected by mental health issues, no matter what age they are. Mental health is all about how you feel about yourself, how content you are or how you feel you can get on with other people. Nobody chooses to have mental health issues. But with the right support, things can get better.

Some things you can do if you feel that you need help with your mental health

1

Talk to a parent, friend, or teacher if you are finding things hard.

2

Visit ChildLine for lots of ideas on coping with mental health problems.

3

Make an appointment with your doctor if you have been feeling sad or anxious for a few weeks and it’s not getting any better.

I used to be anxious all the time and I did cognitive behaviour therapy with a therapist so it doesn't happen as much now.
