Spotlight on Siblings and Anti-Bullying Week 2022

We’re talking about siblings and bullying this Anti – Bullying Week 2022. The theme is Reach Out and it’s really important that you reach out for help if you (or someone you know) are being bullied. Bullying can happen to anyone and it is always wrong. Siblings say that sometimes they get bullied at school or online because their families are different or because of how their brothers or sisters behave. They also worry about what might happen if if their disabled brothers and sisters are being bullied. We have some really useful information on our website on how to get help if you are being bullied as well as things you can do if you are finding school life tough.

Siblings also tell us that they can feel bullied by their brother or sister when they are at home. This can make siblings feel frightened and that they aren’t safe. This is not OK – it’s really important to get help if this is happening to you. We have information on what to do if your sister or brother hurts you and how to get help with staying safe.

Reach out and let us know about your life as a sibling and your ideas for what you can do if you are finding school life hard or feel that you are being bullied.
