Design a T shirt

Purpose

This craft activity can be used in lots of sessions. The finished products are a great reminder of the group and a talking point when the siblings take them home.

Siblings often become very absorbed in designing their items, these are activities that siblings are often unable to undertake easily at home.

You will need

For t-shirts - plain white t-shirts (you could ask siblings to bring their own), t-shirt pens, sequins and strong glue

For key rings - empty key fobs (can be bought from craft shops/online shops), pens,

For jars - empty jars, glass paint, fine and thick paint brushes.

How to do it

Here are some ideas for design themes:

First session – design a logo for the group and paint it on the jar/ t-shirt or keyring

In-between session- represent something important to you in your life – hobbies, interests, friends, family etc

Final session - Draw or paint a design to represent memories of the group

NB Allow enough time to let the item dry!
