Things that help when...

Purpose
To help find personal ways of coping with different feelings

How to do it
This should be used in a group which has already had some discussions about feelings.

Have cards ready for each sibling (A6 is probably best) headed

“Things that help when I feel sad”
“Things that help when I feel lonely”
“Things that help when I feel worried”
“Things that help when I feel angry”

Download 'Things that help when' template

In small groups or individually help them to fill in ideas which they feel could be useful.
The cards can be laminated so they can keep them handy, in their bedroom or school bag, or first aid kit

Variations
You may want to just discuss one feeling, or give the siblings a choice of which they need most help with.
